The special kurobuta pork is a must order. It has the perfect texture, with the outside being crispy while the inside is amazingly juicy. Highly recommend! The curry Katsu is also pretty delicious.

My first time visiting this type of cuisine so i don’t have anything to compare it with. However i loved everything about this place and i would be happy to come back any day. The sandwich was my favorite out of what i ordered; i could easily eat 5 of them at any given moment.

Great food, fresh ingredients and the service is unlike anywhere. We came in twice, my husband had the pork & I loved the shrimp. Make sure to get the cucumber salad. Make a reservation

We came here twice on our five day trip in Oahu. Perfectly crispy and juicy tonkatsu and a delicious cabbage salad to pair. Casual ambiance. Quality of food and service is great. Easier to get reservations for than another popular tonkatsu restaurant in Oahu, but you won’t miss out if you just go here instead.

I am not a Tonkatsu person.. my husband is. My daughter's picky. But we all loved this place and would definitely come back! We tried the Specialty Kurobota Katsu plate, the Special Kurobota Katsudon and the curry sauce. All were amazing and highly recommended! (The cabbage salad and their dressing, and green tea too! seriously!)

This is the most unimaginably scrumptious pork tonkatsu. Delicious, incredible quality ingredients, perfect technique. Staff are lovely. The minced pork tonkatsu is divine. The katso sando might be the world's most perfect sandwich. The beef curry is also wonderful. If you have a local driver's license the weekday lunch kama'āina set lunches are a literal steal! Regardless of where you're from, if you can afford it, please tip generously while visiting Hawaii as the cost of living is very high for local people, and we all rely on locals to make this place work.

We got takeout from here because we loved it so much last time we were in Waikiki. This place never disappoints. We got the Pork Tenderloin bento and Kurobuta pork loin bento and they were both amazing. Tender juicy pork loin with flaky, crispy melt in your mouth breading. The ladies who answered the phone and gave us our takeout were lovely! Will come back again next time.

Walked in at 2pm and no wait at all!! Amazing pork katsu as well as shrimp tempura, and I love it with curry and rice! The Japanese mama waitress are so friendly and nice!

Simply the best and I didn’t even have their best pork since they had sold out of their best! I wanted to check out their competition, Tonkatsu Tamafuii before I said that and it’s true… my picky wife agrees too so you know it’s good ????. The pork is crispy and then it melts in your mouth. Even their dressing for the salad was fire. I can’t stop thinking about them and now I’m going to have to come back. I also love the service because it wasn’t super fancy vibes but instead it was more of a family vibe. They have deals on beer and the sake is fun/smooth. Overall a top hit on my trip of eating through Hawaii.

Love this place. Been here on my last two visits to Oahu and both times the food was great. There are lots of tourist traps and inflated reviews in Waikiki, but this is not one of them. They have two storefronts side by side which is a bit confusing. The Tonkatsu room has the better service (they were super accommodating when I turned up with my family with the wrong reservation date). The service difference between the two was quite stark. The Yoshoku room is unique in that it has a limited run of omurice; so you'll need to visit early in the day. Ours was nicely done and will definitely order again; though the Tonkatsu is the star of the show in both storefronts.
